Frogman News

Friends of Froggy:

Welcome Back!  It's been two months since our last update and there's a lot to share.

Congratulations to Courtney Sennish from the California College of the Arts for winning this year's Graduate Student Scholarship!  As the winner, Courtney will have a solo show during this summer's workshop and have her fees for one workshop waived.

In addition to Courtney's show, we have many exhibitions scheduled for this summer's workshop.  To see our list of exhibitions please visit:  http://www.frogmans.net/Workshop%20Exhibitions.htm.  We are also taking proposals for two exhibitions to be held in the I.D. Weeks Library Galleries.  Proposals may be for portfolios, solo exhibitions, or small group (two to three artists) exhibitions.  Preference will be given to prints; however, one of the spaces may accommodate artist books.  Proposals must arrive at Frogman's by Friday, February 28th.  Selected proposals will be announced Friday, March 14th.

The deadline to submit designs for Frogman's Design Scholarship is Saturday, March 15th.  For more information about this opportunity please go to:  http://www.frogmans.net/Workshop.htm.

A special thank you to Ashton Ludden of Tennessee, Amanda Maciuba of Iowa, and Laura Grossett of Colorado. With their help, we've archived over 1,100 prints from Frogman's collection.  In exchange for their help, they will each be attending this summer's workshop.  If you or one of your colleagues would like to help archive the collection, please contact me at jeremy@frogmans.net or at (712) 352-2423.  Eventually, we envision the entire collection being available as an educational tool in the form of an searchable, online database.

Frogman's is also excited to announce that we have participants coming to the workshop this summer from two new countries, China and New Zealand.  Courses are starting to fill up so don't hesitate.  To register, please call or go online to: http://www.frogmans.net/Registration.php.

I realize this was a very long, information-packed note, so feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions.

See you this summer!
