It offers residencies and a work place to graphic designers, artists and critics who want to work with intaglio, relief printing, screen print or lithography, or who want to investigate the relationship of graphics with other visual arts. The centre focuses mainly on creation rather than on reproduction. It is a platform for the public, the artist and his work. Exhibit at University of Memphis

Suadade(s)

New work by Peter Joseph Hoffecker

Box Gallery is excited to present Suadade(s) a show of new work by artist Peter Joseph Hoffecker. Hoffecker, who was born in Bogota, Colombia, yet raised in the United States, creates work that reflects his dual heritage. A synthesis of ancient and modern, euro-centric and indigenous, this work utilizes geometric abstraction to create a critical space in which to examine art, culture and the boundaries between them.

Reception Friday January 24th, 5-7 pm. Exhibition will run 1/24-2/14.

Box Gallery is the student-run gallery at the University of Memphis, and is located in the Arts and Communication Building, 3715 Central Ave, room 100.
