The MAPC Journal

Dear Mid America Print Council,
The MAPC Journal is now taking submissions for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2015 issue,
vol.23, no. 3 + 4. The deadline for submitting articles and images is July 31, 2015
Theme:   Evolution: from education to occupation
In this issue, the Journal will focus on the student-to-professional transitional experience. What are all of the various ways these new-found skills can be applied to forming a successful career beyond graduation? How does a recent graduate navigate through making a living and being an artist? How does one continue making prints and find alternative access to studio space, equipment and time? Is the adjunct position a viable way to enter academia for those who want to teach? What are alternative careers and freelance jobs that support the creative entrepreneur?
Length: 1500 – 2000 words for interviews and feature articles, 750 words for reviews of exhibitions and publications.
Image size: 300 dpi, 9 x 12 inches. Include a brief biography (100 words) and color head shot.
Download the submission guidelines at http://www.midamericaprintcouncil.org/. Please contact an editor prior to the deadline to discuss your proposal. Send complete submissions only and provide materials in one link or zipped file. Incomplete entries will not be considered.
