Student International Small Print Show

Egypt Mar. 25 2012-2013

Faculty of fine arts -El Minia university is organizing the first annual student international print exhibition in Egypt. The exhibition will be a good opportunity for international artistic exposure and interaction among talented printmaking students from allover the world. The show will be opened in conjunction with the international art conference in El Minia university in late March 2012 .

Participation Terms 1-All currently enrolled art students including grad students in any art program around the world are welcome to apply.

2-All printmaking techniques including (digital, Monotype, Xerox,..) are acceptable.

3-Eatch artist may participate with two prints, the paper size of the print is limited to 8x12” or 20x30cm , image size is open .

4-Participating works will be on display for 12 months at the creativity center in El Minia university and at Art Zone center in Cairo .

5-Participating works will be featured in a dedicated website for the show for 12 months.

6-Interested artists should send two JPG photos, Size (4x6” or 10x15cm) Res. (100 dpi ). to participation@studentsprintshow.com by Feb.17 for initial screening. Photos should be labeled with (artist name- work title- image size- technique-year of production). Ex : (JohnSmith-Untitled-5x7”-Etching-2011)

Artists of accepted works will be notified by email by Feb.21.

7-Artworks should be shipped (postmarked) no later than Feb.27 . Artworks should be sent unframed and unmated in a steady flat foam board folder via registered or priority mail to:

8-A participation fee of $20 should be sent to:participation@studentsprintshow.com (only notified artists of accepted works should pay the participation fee).

9-The organizer will take a 30% sale commission of the original price of any art sales during the show , the artist will receive his/her fund via paypal . 10- Unless the return of the artworks is requested by the artist at the end of the show, all unsold artworks will be included in the permanent collection of the organizer.
